COME EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF IRELAND WITH KATE!

Hey everybody,

Welcome to this page about an exciting opportunity to tour Ireland.

I will be the artist host on a tour of Ireland with the Irish “tour master” Tom Pigott who owns and operates Enchanted Way Tours. Tom has been in the tour business for many years and for the last four years has been specializing in leading tours throughout Ireland co-led with American singer/songwriters.

I will be leading my first Ireland tour in the summer of 2010 with Tom and 21 of my friends and fans. The dates of the tour are Tuesday, June 28th thru Thursday, July 8th (arriving a day early is highly recommended). We’ll be travelling through the southwestern part of Ireland, one of the most beautiful places on earth. You’ll never take the color green for granted again! By day we may visit old castles and abbey ruins, stone circles, and fishing villages, all while driving along breathtaking coastal scenery.

We take 20 guests and travel in a small luxury coach/bus. We stay in small hotels and an occasional B & B; 3 nights in each of 3 towns. We’ll travel to the Shannon airport on our last morning so you can catch your flight home.

This is no ordinary tour where you move from town to town so quickly you forget where you are! This is a small, personal tour that is centered on the arts and culture of Ireland, especially the music. We’ll be stopping in local pubs and venues for back-room sessions, where wonderful Irish musicians will charm you with their whistles, fiddles, guitars and bodhran (Irish drum) skills. We may even catch a festival!

On this 10-day tour, we will concentrate on three of the most stunningly beautiful counties in Ireland: Cork, Kerry and Clare. Here is Tom’s description of the day-to-day schedule from the tour website which can be found by clicking HERE.

READY TO SIGN UP? Here’s the basic information.

WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE TOUR?

The tour starts on Tuesday, June 28 and ends on Thursday, July 8, 2010. I RECOMMEND ARRIVING A DAY EARLY so you will be rested and ready to go on Tuesday morning. Tom can arrange lodging for you in a B&B near the Shannon airport.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND HOW DO I PAY?

The cost of the tour is $1,950 per person, based on Twin/Double occupancy (Excluding Airfare).   There is a single supplement of $350 per person for a single room.  This covers all ground transportation, 9 nights bed and breakfast in 3 star hotels,  all pub music and one private gig, usually with some of Ireland's best musicians and singer/songwriters.  A down payment of $500 will be required right away and the remainder of the fee will come in two parts in early 2010.

WHERE DO I FLY TO?

Since the tour is of the southwest region, you will fly into and out of the Shannon Airport in County Clare.

WHERE DO WE STAY?

Generally we will stay in small hotels with Bed and Breakfast included. Since we will travel around during the day and frequently come back to the same hotels, you won’t need to worry about packing up and moving every morning.

Day 1, 2, 3............................Skibbereen, County Cork
Day 4, 5, 6............................Dingle, County Kerry
Day 7, 8, 9............................Doolin, County Clare

WILL THERE BE BISCUITS AND GRAVY?

Well, I don’t think so, but there will be lots of wonderful traditional Irish food and drink to try!

Space is limited, so get your email in right away as this trip will fill up fast!
